Activating your phone is easy. Here are a few things you need to get started.
Your home area zip code:
Your Go Smart phone number will be assigned to the area code in this zip code.
Your phone’s ESN #:
The ESN # is the 11 digit number located underneath the phone battery (recommended) or on the side of your phone package.
Once you have this information, begin activating your phone by following the simple on-screen instructions or call 1-877-487-8568 and a customer service representative will get you started.
Adding Value to Your Phone
1. Online Click here to add value to your account. Use either your own internet accessible device or a Flying J Web Station located in Flying J Travel Plazas. Accepted payment forms include: Credit Card, Flying J Gift Card, or a valid TCH card.
2.By Phone Dial 611 on your Go Smart phone and follow the automated instructions.
3. Go Smart Cards You’ll find Go Smart rechargeable cards in Flying J Travel Plaza across the U.S. (visit http://www.flyingj.com/ for locations) in a nondenominational rechargeable format. Simply put on the card however much you wish with a minimum of $2 per charge. Dial 611 on your Go Smart phone or go online at www.mygosmart.com and enter the PIN code on the back of the card to add value to your account.
4. Auto Pay Set a fixed amount to be added to your account automatically once a month or whenever your balance drops below $5. Just register your credit or debit card with us or call us at 1-877-487-8568.

With Go Smart, it is easy to always know your existing minute usage and balance at all times.
Methods for knowing your balance:
1. Texting 1225 is no longer available for checking your balance. Now, there is a faster more reliable way to check your balance.
Follow these simple steps to set up your phone to retrieve your balance.
A. To check your balance with your Go Smart phone, create a new contact and name it "Balance".
B. Enter the following number for this contact: 8016244588TT1TT2TT1 and save it.
Please note these special instructions: Each "T" in the dialed number represents a 2 second pause. When
entering the number please press the options button on your phone and select "enter 2 second pause" from the
menu. This will allow the interactive voice response to respond to the phone call.
C. Anytime you need to check your phone balance just call the "Balance" contact entry and your balance will be stated
to you. This is a free call from your Go Smart phone.
Important! Do not enter any numbers when the voice prompt asks you for a menu selection. The menu options will
be selected automatically for you. Just wait until your balance is stated to you.

Some Basics
Voicemail To set up your voicemail and retrieve messages, simply press ‘1’ on your Go Smart phone and follow the instructions.
Sending a text message To send a text message, just select Messages from your phone’s Main Menu; then select, Create/New Message. Select a phone number from your contact list, or enter a new number. Type your message, and hit send.
Caller ID When your phone rings, the caller’s phone number, when available will appear on your screen.
Call Waiting If another call comes in, while you are on the phone, you will hear a beep. Press the green send button to answer the new incoming call. To switch back to your original call, press the green send button again.

Long Distance Calling Your rates are the same to and from anywhere in the coverage area available to Go Smart customers. There are no additional charges for long distance calling within the continental United States.
